Come have a cup of tea and some cake, and a yarn, bring some snacks and friends and celebrate evolution this Dec 25th at 128!
There will be cups of tea and dinosaur cake, and we’ll be celebrating an evolving space/culture at 128 by finishing the upstairs painting, which you’re welcome to join! (or um, theres always cards, Articulate, Chess….)
In the spirit of evolution, we will be shedding some of our old dress ups and possibly growing some new ones, so feel free to bring your unwanted and amazing dressups to swap, or some gold coins to donate for dressups!
(BTW, there will be catsuits and tatty old wigs).
See y’all there!
The synergies of these Anti’s became part of the popular consciousness in
2010 during resistance to the Olympics and G20 in what was a very intense
year for social movements in “Canada”.
These mobilizations saw effective collaboration between indigenous activists, anarchists, anti-poverty organizers, environmentalists, migrant justice groups, and others. This discussion will talk about the ongoing cross-pollination of movements in Turtle Island, drawing specific attention to anarchist and indigenous collaboration in the struggle for land and freedom.

When: Saturday 12 January, 4pm
Where: 128 Able Smith Street
This coming Saturday, December 15 there will be a working bee at 128 Abel Smith Street from 11am-5pm.
The plan is to get some of the upstairs rooms cleaned out and painted. These rooms will then be made available for groups/projects who are looking for space.
It would be great to have many hands with this work.
We need support from the wider community of people who care about 128 to help make the transition to a new structure for the running of the house. The conflict within the 128 collective has not been resolved, and is unlikely to be, so your support to make 128 function better is awesome! The working bee is kinda a practical step towards that.
So yeah, anyone who has been wanting to get involved and help out we would love to see you there 🙂
Feel free to bring cleaning stuff, paint, anything thats been chillin in your shed too long that you think might be useful, and if you wanna contact us get in touch with Stephen, Steph, Val, Ryan, Kiesia, Carven, Alex, Geoff, Marlene or Rouge by e-mailing us at email@example.com
Dinners at the Peoples’ Kitchen every Tuesday at 128. Come out, hang out, cook out or chill out. We do the bin diving and load the kitchen up with funky reclaimed produce- the luck of the dumpster draw.
So just bring yourselves and a ravenous appetite, or bring some food to share if you have some and you want to 🙂
If you feel like cookin’, pop in around 4 and we’ll get to a chopping, blending, baking, etc.
or if you’ve come for a feed, we aim to serve by 7… ish.
Waste not want not.
Communal feasting rocks.
See yas then
